About The Wish Centre
The Wish Centre supports individuals and families affected by domestic abuse across Lancashire. Our work provides safety, counselling, refuge, prevention programmes and long-term recovery pathways. Every day, we help people rebuild their lives with dignity, hope and strength.
About White Ribbon
White Ribbon is the UK's leading movement engaging men and boys to help end violence against women and girls. It encourages men to stand beside women, speak out against sexism, challenge harmful attitudes and behaviours, and become active allies in creating safer communities. The movement recognises that violence against women and girls is not a women's issue alone. It is a societal issue that requires collective action and leadership from men.
White Ribbon Day 2026: It Takes All of Us
The theme for White Ribbon Day 2026 is “It Takes All of Us." The campaign highlights the important role every individual, organisation, workplace and community has in preventing violence against women and girls. It reminds us that change happens when people challenge harmful behaviours, speak up when something is wrong, support survivors, and promote respect and equality in everyday life.
At The Wish Centre, we believe creating a future free from violence requires all of us to play our part. Through this Gala Dinner, we are inviting businesses, community leaders, families and individuals from across Lancashire to stand together in support of women and girls, raise vital funds, and demonstrate that violence and abuse have no place in our communities.
Because ending violence against women and girls isn't the responsibility of a few. It takes all of us
Why Your Support Matters
Every day, The Wish Centre supports women, children and families affected by domestic abuse. Demand for our services continues to grow while funding becomes increasingly stretched. Funds raised through this event will help us continue providing life-changing and, in many cases, life-saving support to those who need it most.
This year, we aim to raise funds to expand our Behaviour Change Programmes and promote education about healthy relationship education for young people. Your support will help challenge harmful attitudes, encourage positive role models and create safer communities across Lancashire.
