Young Person's IDVA Service

The Young Person's Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (YPIDVA) supports young people who have experienced or witnessed domestic abuse.

Domestic abuse can be caused by a partner, parent, sibling, or another family member. Our Young Person's IDVA provides a safe, supportive space to talk about what is happening and to explore ways to stay safe.

The YPIDVA can meet with young people in school, college, or at The Wish Centre, depending on what feels most comfortable and appropriate.

Support is available through:

  • One-to-one tailored support sessions.
  • Safety planning and practical advice.
  • Emotional support and advocacy.
  • Access to specialist programmes designed for young people affected by domestic abuse.
